Wow... thank you for being so appreciative, Kirke. You also make a good point about the negative energy. Now that I am thinking over it, my pencil didn't sure go easy on this canvas!

Just to give you an idea, I painted this one in about six hours, NIN music playing in the background. I just kept following the tempo and my pencilstroke turned out into a rather violent mood.

All I can say is, I have been having this vision in my head for about three years, and I have been waiting for the right time to "release" it in its full scale and true colors. As you know already, I somehow managed to nail it down on a paper sheet, so that it could not just fade out in to the oblivion, like many others visions we usually have do.

Then some events in my personal life triggered something inside me. I drew momentum from the music I was listening at that time, and set free the image, letting it to flow out, through my hand. Perhaps the "negative energy" you see in it, is because of this sudden burst, this rage of colors, that in a few hours was finally given a shape.

It is like a high pressure steam. The longer an image is locked inside you, the higher pressure it gets. The higher pressure it gets, the more violent it comes out.

You are also wondering what's the story behind this, I might tell you the whole thing. However, I rather prefer your imagination to run wild, and build for your own pleasure a story around it. In my opinion, in fact, once a picture is finished, it gets a life on its own: from that moment onwards the author holds no claims on its hidden meaning and its significance.

Err... sorry for the rambling. My only point is, I just hope this pic may help people like you draw their inspiration for their next creations!

excellent work...really scenery...really full of words where nature and 2 characters play their acts..I like the way how you introduce light here because it's very hard to mix golden grain field + those storm on the sky (in my opinion!!!)..reminds me on some negative energy like that do van Gogh on his field, but I don't look so negative...maybe ideas is created in that sense(!?) but really heals my eyes...colors are the most important..It doesn't matter how would make it in technical ways but It's important how would you effect on the viewer...I'm very pleased that I have chance to see this today...I though a lot of story...and it's not negative...brings some hope!!!:)
